It is true that summer is hot, very hot. But the wicked summer sun isnothing to me, for I don't usually go out. What I like to do best during thelong summer vacation is to stay in my own little room and read. I love to read,but during the school year I could hardly find a free moment for reading.Endless assignments press down upon me like a mountain. I feel confined andimprisoned. Once the summer vacation comes, however, I have all the time in theworld to read and read and read. I read everything I want to read. I read to myheart's content. My room maybe small, and the sun maybe hot, but I'm free, I'mhappy, I'm really living! Oh, how I love summer!

The winter morning is very cold. I don't want to get up at all. The bed isso warm and comfortable, but the outside is too cold. Every morning, my motherpulls me up from my bed. It takes much longer to get up. But I like thebreakfast in winter morning, because mother often cooks hot food for me. Itmakes me much warmer. Because of the cold weather, father often takes me toschool, so I don't have to ride my bike or take a bus. In one word, the wintermorning is cold and I just want to stay indoors.

On Sunday morning, my parents took me to the zoo. We din't go there for along time. Last week, my classmates told me that the zoo added some funnyentertainment facilities. I was very curious. So, I asked my parents to took methere and they promised to. We got there at 9 o'clock. There were many people.Most of them were parents and children. We first went to see the animal. I likeparrots most. And then we saw the animal shows. Elephants, tigers, lions andmonkeys did wonderful shows for us. People were happy, especially the children.After that, we went to experienced the entertainment facilities. My mum was tooscared to be with us. So, only my dad and I played. It was so exciting, but Iwas a little dizzy. However, I was very happy. It was a great day.

Now the year is coming, as a child, I love Spring Festival very much,because I can get a lot of lucky money. In China, the children can get the luckymoney from the adults, then the kids say back some good wishes. I want to use mylucky money to buy toys and firework, I want a toy car, I see it from thecartoon. I also want to play firework with my friends.

Since I go to school, I start to form the habit of noting what I have read.I found it is very helpful for me, because I get bad memory, I will forget whatI have learned in the class soon, so my teacher asks me write down what I get.Now, after class, I will open the note, go over what I have learned.

Today is my nine-year-old birthday. I am very happy, because my father buysa big cake for me and my sister just comes to Guangzhou.
